What to do?

1-If any of these chronicdisease conditionsthat occurat the level ofthe tooth roots:

  • granulomas
  • cysts
  • chronic alveolar abscesses

The technique to follow would be to make a root canal in order to eliminate the infection in the tooth root. Followed by an Apicoectomy being performed in the following manner:

  •  An X-ray is taken to determine the size of the lesion. Through surgery the affected area is opened, part of the affected root is cut and the cyst or granuloma is thoroughly cleaned by removing the affected bone around the infectious process, and this root is treated with grafting material that is sealed and clean.

It sometimes happens that this process is asymptomatic and grows killing the adjecent pieces. This is dangerous and should pay attention. It can be prevented by examinations and routine x-rays that are required every six months.

Clean the walls and affected bone graft.

Once completed the corresponding root canal surgery, parts can be restored with beautiful porcelain crowns zirconium metal or crowns.

If you could not save the piece by this method, you will have to have them extracted and removed the cyst, in which case after putting bone graft, it can be restored with dental implants and the alternative may be a fixed or removable bridge.
